This is a model for the old Palace of Westminster as it might have appeared in the time of King Henry VIII. You can see the Jewel Tower and Westminster Hall of the Old Palace which still stand today, among the few parts of the Palace to survive the Fire of 1834. You can also see the Chapel of St Stephen in which the original House of Commons sat after the family of Henry VIII moved out of the Palace of Westminster and it was no longer needed as the Royal Chapel.
