Narrated and Animated Movie ! ] The chapel survived the 1834 fire relatively unscathed, and the fine vaulted roof is substantially medieval, though restored by E.M. Barry, and painted and gilded to bring it very close to its original appearance. The largest bosses in the vaulted ceiling represent several martyrdoms, including those of St John who is seen being boiled in a cauldron, and St Catherine with wheels behind her.
