The wood which was used to make the octagonal desks which occupy the three windows in this Lobby was donated by Uganda. The gilt inkwells are also gifts, these were donated by British Guiana and Nyasaland. Most of the furnishings in the rebuilt House of Commons were presented by countries in the then British Commonwealth and Empire.
